"The Farewell Foxtrot" by Richard Squires - North American Review

A good friend of mine, fellow writer, and also fellow graduate of the Stonecoast MFA Program - Richard Squires - has had a terrific short story published in the North American Review called "The Farewell Foxtrot". I urge all of you to give it a read. Richard also helms a very cool company which writes memoirs for folks who can't write one for themselves called Lifestory.

RICHARD SQUIRES is a writer, editor, and musician living in New Jersey. His fiction has appeared in The MacGuffin, Jewish Literary Journal, BigCityLit, and other places, and he has book reviews forthcoming in American Book Review. Richard is the owner of LifeStory, a company that writes people’s memoirs for them, creating legacies their families cherish for generations. He earned his MFA from Stonecoast, University of Southern Maine.

“The Farewell Foxtrot” is a 2023 Kurt Vonnegut Speculative Fiction Prize semifinalist. Click here to view the complete list of Vonnegut finalists and winners.
